You can choose to include a dedicated photo host for in-depth, hands-on photographic support, covering everything from camera settings and composition to advanced techniques. This premium option is available at an additional cost and is ideal for guests seeking personalised, one-on-one photographic mentorship.
Alternatively, confident photographers may prefer to travel with one of our highly experienced local guides. With exceptional knowledge of wildlife behaviour and positioning, they consistently create excellent photographic opportunities, making this a great-value option for guests who are comfortable working independently.
Mid-Range to Premium Experiences
We specialise in mid-range to premium custom photo safaris that provide access to Africa’s most productive wildlife areas, excellent accommodation options, and high-quality food and service standards. Our focus is on maximising your photographic opportunity, not on basic budget travel.

HOW TO BOOK A CUSTOM PHOTO SAFARI
If you’re interested in designing a personalised photographic safari for yourself or a small group, we’d be delighted to help. Please follow the steps below to begin planning your custom photo safari with Wild4.
Step 1 – Submit Your Enquiry
Click the “Enquire Now” button and complete the enquiry form with your details and safari preferences. The more information you provide, the better we can understand your ideas and goals.
We also encourage you to request an obligation-free Zoom call with Stu Porter at this stage. This allows you to discuss your plans directly and ensures we are well aligned before moving forward with a detailed itinerary and quotation.
When submitting your enquiry, please include where possible:

You can choose the level of photographic support that best suits you:

Professional Photo Host – Ideal for photographers who want hands-on guidance, feedback, and mentoring throughout their safari (at extra cost)

Experienced Local Guide – Great for confident photographers who prefer to work independently. Our local guides know the best wildlife areas, animal behaviour, and positioning for strong images, and will ensure excellent viewing opportunities (best price)
Step 2 – Receive Your Personalised Proposal
After receiving your enquiry, I strongly recommend arranging an obligation-free Zoom call with me, Stu Porter, the owner of Wild4. This allows us to discuss your ideas, photographic goals, expectations, and budget in detail, ensuring we are fully aligned before a detailed itinerary and quotation are prepared.
Following our discussion, we’ll review your request and develop a suggested itinerary based on your preferences. Once the details have been refined together, we’ll provide a personalised quotation.
Your provisional booking will be held for 14 days, allowing you time to review and confirm your plans. If we do not hear from you within this period, the provisional booking will automatically expire and requested services will be released.
Step 3 – Create Your Client Account
Once you’re happy with the itinerary and quotation, we’ll send you a secure, personalised link by email. This gives you access to our Client Area, where you’ll create your account and be guided to complete your online booking form.
Step 4 – Complete Your Booking Form
Please complete one booking form per participant. Once received, we’ll be ready to reserve your safari pending deposit payment.
Step 5 – Secure Your Safari with a Deposit
To confirm your custom photo safari, a deposit is required. The deposit amount varies depending on the itinerary and will be clearly advised before you commit.
Payments can be made securely by credit card (subject to a 5% handling fee) or by international bank transfer. Your safari is confirmed once all completed booking forms and deposits have been received.
Step 6 – Final Balance Payment
After your deposit is received, your outstanding balance will be displayed in your Client Area. The final payment is due 90 days before departure, with reminders sent in advance. For bookings made within 90 days of the safari start date, full payment will be required at the time of booking.
