This 12-night photo safari was a journey through Botswana’s most iconic landscapes. After meeting in Johannesburg, we flew to Maun to begin our adventure with a three-night stay in Moremi, tracking water-adapted lions in the heart of the Delta.
We then moved to Khwai for three nights of golden-hour photography before pushing north into the rugged terrain of Savuti for four nights of predator action. The grand finale took us to the Chobe River and the Pangolin Hotel, where four rewarding boat sessions culminated in a once-in-a-lifetime sighting of an African Fish Eagle on a Cape Buffalo.
This trip report offers a detailed look at the itinerary, the mobile camping experience, and the incredible photographic opportunities that await in the Botswana bush.
