2019 Custom Photographic Tours & Photo Safaris
Prices Tailored to your needs
We offer custom photo safaris for people with specific requests, for small groups of friends or camera club members, and for people who might not have the length of time available to join one of our scheduled photo safaris.
Scheduled photo safaris are my first priority, but if I am available, I will accompany custom photo safaris to offer photo tuition. If I am not available at the time you would like to travel, then unfortunately there would not be the option of photographic tuition available. However, we could still arrange a photographic safari for you that would include excellent photographic opportunities with professional guides who are sensitive to the needs of photographers.
We also arrange a number of private photo safaris for experienced photographers who simply do not want photographic tuition. This helps to cut the cost of the trip, and you will get access to our experience in setting up photo-specific itineraries that include the best and most photo-productive locations in Africa. Allow us to take care of all the photographic details and travel logistics for you so that you can concentrate solely on photography.
Please fill out the enquiry form found alongside. Be sure to describe what it is you would like to focus on, the number of people in your group (or whether travelling alone), where you would like to go (which country / reserve), what level of accommodation you are happy with (basic, standard or luxury) and the expected duration of your trip.
If you have a specific set of dates you want to enquire about, please enter them into the main “Enquiry” box along with the rest of your enquiry.
We will get back to you with the most relevant information based on your specific needs.
We recently travelled to South Africa for a safari led by Wild 4 African Photographic Safaris. To put things simply, we were completely blown away. I had been on safari before, and had expectations that I thought were reasonable, but Wild 4 completely exceeded those expectations in so many ways. First of all, Justyna handled all of our travel and trip details with exceptional professionalism and always responded to even our most basic questions quickly and in a very detailed manner. Once we had arrived in South Africa, we were met by our guide Stu Porter, who I cannot say enough good things about. He is so organised and cordial. Stu was spotting things that we couldn’t believe that he was spotting, which almost always led to an amazing wildlife experience that we never saw coming. His knowledge and understanding of the wildlife and ecosystem was outstanding, and he went to great lengths to insure that we had the best chance of capturing a great photo, without compromising the rules of the park or the integrity of the animals and ecology within it. His understanding and respect for the wildlife and surroundings made the trip so much more than just a “drive around and look at whatever we see” kind of experience. I know that you can never predict what kind of experience you will have when you go out into the wild, and often it’s up to nature to decide what events you will be a part of, but in all honesty, I can’t imagine a better guide than Stu Porter. We will be doing our future trips to Africa with Wild 4, and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much for what a lot of people call “the trip of a lifetime”, although we feel that this is only the beginning of many trips of a lifetime. Thank you, Wild 4!!

My wife and I have been on three photo safaris with Stu. The first trip was the result of a recommendation from a friend. The second and third trips were because Stu did such a good job on the first. He is a thoroughly professional guide and offers such a terrific experience wherever he takes us. Stu shares his extensive knowledge of photography and has made it possible for us to get better photos and expand our understanding of what it takes to capture more of each photographic opportunity. It takes a special person to guide photographers around Africa, keep them comfortable, provide them with the best photo locations at the best time of the day, manage the schedules, vehicles, drivers, flights and food and still remain calmly in control. I think it would be appropriate to call Stu and ultimate professional. He is supported well by Justyna in the office and we anticipate traveling more with Wild4 in the future. You should book a trip with him as soon as you can!
