Prices Tailored to your needs
We offer custom photo safaris for people with specific requests, for small groups of friends or camera club members, and for people who might not have the length of time available to join one of our scheduled photo safaris.
Scheduled photo safaris are my first priority, but if I am available, I will accompany custom photo safaris to offer photo tuition. If I am not available at the time you would like to travel, then unfortunately there would not be the option of photographic tuition available. However, we could still arrange a photographic safari for you that would include excellent photographic opportunities with professional guides who are sensitive to the needs of photographers.
We also arrange a number of private photo safaris for experienced photographers who simply do not want photographic tuition. This helps to cut the cost of the trip, and you will get access to our experience in setting up photo-specific itineraries that include the best and most photo-productive locations in Africa. Allow us to take care of all the photographic details and travel logistics for you so that you can concentrate solely on photography.
Please fill out the enquiry form found alongside. Be sure to describe what it is you would like to focus on, the number of people in your group (or whether travelling alone), where you would like to go (which country / reserve), what level of accommodation you are happy with (basic, standard or luxury) and the expected duration of your trip.
If you have a specific set of dates you want to enquire about, please enter them into the main "Enquiry" box along with the rest of your enquiry.
We will get back to you with the most relevant information based on your specific needs.
We couldn’t have enjoyed our trip with Wild 4 more. We were made to feel extremely welcome right from our very first e-mail contact, something which continued throughout our trip and beyond. We’d like to thank Stu, Justyna, Ann, & John for being such wonderful and enthusiastic hosts. Being looked after by such a friendly and caring family was a delight and we were very reluctant to leave after two weeks. Stu is a very knowledgeable, hard-working and helpful guide, always on hand with useful pointers and offering us plenty of encouragement to experiment with our photography. Having a whole row each of a specially adapted safari vehicle was a real find, ensuring we didn’t miss out on any of the action. Being able to stay out in the bush all day was also a real bonus. While many other vehicles drove off after only a few minutes, we were able to spend hours observing groups of lions and other wildlife. As this was our first African safari, Stu suggested we spend the first few nights at the Big Cats reserve and this proved to be a magical experience, with some great close-up action that resulted in some beautiful shots. It is a great place to hone your existing skills & learn some new ones. Given the opportunity we would go again tomorrow without any hesitation. Simply perfect!

I was fortunate to be on Wild4's "Best of Botswana" trip in May 2014. It could well be the Best of Africa. This trip featured two expert guides (Stu Porter himself and Nkosi from Letaka Safaris) and the abundant wildlife of four different Botswanan hot spots, with relatively few other vehicles around. Those features alone are worth the price of admission, particularly since they include Stu's vehicle modifications that ensure the best possible photographic experience. But if that isn't enough, we spent the first ten nights in expedition style mobile camps, roughing it with bucket showers and drop toilets, and listening to the leopards, elephants and hyenas wandering in and around the camps at night. But don't worry about the "roughing it" part. The expert staff prepares perfect meals, including fresh baked breads and cakes, and ensures that the camp is safe and clean. We finished the 12-night trip in a luxury lodge on the Chobe River, where we photographed from a boat customised to accommodate serious photographers (i.e. people with lenses bigger than their legs) and a waterway full of hippos and elephants and lined with Africa's most iconic birds. If you can only go once to Africa, go to Botswana with Wild4 Photographic Safaris. They will take care of every detail of your safari to ensure that everything is just right. If you are an old Africa veteran, ditto. You just can't go wrong with Wild4.
