WILD4 Specialist Photographic Vehicle - Kenya

A short video launch of our professionally modified photographic 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser. The first one of its kind in Africa !! Built especially for serious nature photographers.

We are very proud to announce the launch of our first Kenyan photographically modified safari vehicle, which will be available for use on both our scheduled and custom designed photo safaris within Kenya.

Our previous clients will know how we have pioneered the way to provide photographic supports on vehicles for photographers. Our professional adjustable photobar and beanbag systems that we use on safari vehicles in Botswana, Kruger, Mala Mala, Namibia and Tanzania offer a comfortable solution to the challenges of using heavy telephoto lenses. With the launch of our latest photographically modified safari vehicle, we have taken these photographic modifications to a new and even more professional level.

The vehicle was purchased in 2016 and the unique photo modifications were done in March 2017. We then took the vehicle for a test run to Tsavo, East, West and Amboseli in Kenya, in early July and not only did the vehicle prove to be better than we had hoped, we will also be launching a new tour to include Tsavo, Amboseli and the Masai Mara. The first of these trips will be run in 2018, details of which will be posted soon.

The vehicle has been modified specifically for photography and here are just some of the special features that it offers:

> More comfortable and more spacious than other vehicles
> Specially designed seat back pockets for photographic equipment
> Comfortable seated and standing shooting positions
> Seated shooting height can be adjusted based on how tall you are
> Professional beanbags and panning plates are provided
> A Gimbal can be attached (but not provided)
> Re-charging facilities on board
> Roll back canvas roof for unobstructed views
> Roll up canvas sides for better field of view when seated
> Unique rain protection system allows for photographing in the rain
> Ready to use GoPro / Action Camera mounting points
> Comfortable reclining seats
> Maximum of only 3 photographers with access to both sides of the safari vehicle

After 15 years in the industry focusing purely on small group photographic safaris, I believe that this is without doubt the most unique and versatile photo safari vehicle in Africa !

We look forward to welcoming you in Kenya !

Testimonials When two photo trips organised by my tour operator were cancelled. I looked around and found Wild4. Justyna was extremely helpful in putting together a tailor made tour just for me. I opted for 8 nights Kruger, 2 nights Big Cats & the Reptile extension. Some emails later and all was booked and paid for. I tend to shy away from flash but as we were doing a night shoot at the Big Cat Reserve, I quickly learned a great new technique and the photographs turned out wonderful. In short, Wild4 Photographic Safaris is the one you want to book with to get the best opportunities. This is not the last time I will make use of their services. Thank you Justyna & Stu for a wonderful time.

Testimonials I did a photo safari in and around Kruger National Park with Wild4. At the end of the trip I could not think of one significant thing that I would have changed to make the experience better. I have travelled to various parts of East and Southern Africa many times to photograph wildlife and I have to say that this was THE most photographically productive trip of them all. Not simply the volume of pictures, but the quality and variety of images that I returned home with was simply awesome. Key to this was Stu’s knowledge, enthusiasm and patience. Most days we were photographing from first light until sunset, and beyond on some occasions. I quickly learned not to worry about getting the vehicle into the best position for background, light, etc. We would see an animal and I'd start to assess where I would like to be for a shot, no sooner would I have done this I would realise that Stu was already getting us into that very position. The man is a first class guide AND an excellent photographer. Perfect. The whole trip, from start to finish, ran like clockwork. The camps were comfortable, the food was great and the company delightful. Going on Safari with Stu and Justyna was like being with friends, I had a truly unforgettable time. Photographic safaris do not come any better than this.
